Our Story
At Slieve Bloom Organics, we grow our own produce at Lough Boora Farm, Boora, Co. Offaly — and source the rest from other carefully chosen organic suppliers. Every product we sell carries full organic certification and we are certified by the Organic Trust. Slieve Bloom Organics started operating in 2023 at Lough Boora Farm as a continuation of the Lough Boora Farm veg box scheme started in 1997. Alison Chambers had previously worked at the farm as a horticulturist and took on this part of the business. She has expanded to wholesale and farmers markets alongside the home delivery since. In 2026 she purchased a 4.6 acre field at Lough Boora and has plans to develop it with fruit and permanent/minimal till vegetable beds, coming away from small-scale field production. There are seven polytunnels in use as well as the field vegetables. You can follow progress and updates on Facebook and Instagram.
